YOUTH FOOTBALL

(13TH–17TH GRADE)

Youth 13th - 17th Grade Football

For players born 2009-13

Where players grow, compete, and take their game to the next level!

Youth Football at Waitemata FC is all about challenge, development, and excitement. Whether players want a fun community team or a competitive pathway, our youth programme gives them the chance to train hard, play smart, and be part of a supportive squad.

It’s an awesome age where players grow fast — physically, technically, and mentally — and our coaches work hard to help every player reach their potential while still keeping football fun.

Team Selection

Youth teams are formed to give every player the best possible experience. We look at:

  • The right level of competition

  • Player development needs

  • Friendship groups (community grades only)

  • Where players will enjoy their football most

We do everything we can to place youth players in the environment they’re excited about.

Training

Youth teams train once or twice a week, depending on the level of competition and coach availability. McLeod Park or Te Atatū South Park

Sessions focus on:

  • Faster play

  • Better decision-making

  • Technical refinement

  • Teamwork + leadership

  • Football intelligence

This is where players really start to level up!

Game Days

Youth football is played across Auckland on:

  • Saturdays – Community competitions

  • Sundays – Championship / Conference competitions

Home games are at McLeod Park. Away games can be anywhere from Central/West Auckland to Northland — making matchdays a real adventure!
